Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between warehouses, distribution centers, and client locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal safety and compliance
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while adhering to delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling and securement protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system (ELD) records
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route changes or delivery issues
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Strong knowledge of Baltimore metro area roadways and traffic patterns
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
