Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport loose materials such as sand, gravel, dirt, or asphalt.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload materials using loading equipment or manual labor.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and digital reporting records.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers.
- Keep the truck and equipment clean and in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving dump trucks or heavy commercial vehicles.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and operating hand controls.
- Familiarity with San Jose and surrounding Bay Area routes is highly preferred.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and hazard prevention.
