Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials to and from job sites within the Corpus Christi region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload trucks securely, utilizing forklifts or manual labor as necessary.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and site-specific protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site managers to coordinate timely deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no major violations).
- Part-time availability, including potential weekend or evening shifts.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks, including loading and unloading heavy materials.
- Experience operating dump trucks or heavy commercial vehicles is preferred but not always required.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Familiarity with local roadways in Corpus Christi is a significant plus.
