Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages and parcels to residential and commercial addresses in Indianapolis and surrounding areas.
- Ensure the safe handling of all items, maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor during interactions with customers.
- Operate delivery vehicles in a safe manner, adhering to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
- Inspect vehicles daily for cleanliness and mechanical issues, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
- Process deliveries accurately using handheld devices, including obtaining electronic signatures and photos when required.
- Handle customer inquiries and returns professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Manage time effectively to meet daily delivery targets without compromising on quality or safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations within the last 3 years).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong sense of direction and map-reading skills; proficiency with GPS and delivery management apps.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
