Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with traffic laws and company protocols.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate handling equipment.
- Verify delivery accuracy and obtain required customer signatures upon completion of routes.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of local North Carolina roads and geography.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
