Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations on time and within budget.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Verify delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures from recipients to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation as required by federal regulations (DOT/FMCSA).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes, delays, or pickup issues.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B is required.
- Must possess a clean driving record and be insurable under our company policy.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Basic math skills for making change and reading invoices.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate commercial vehicles.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
