Responsibilities
- Safe & Efficient Transport: Deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses in Oakland and the greater Bay Area with the utmost care and efficiency.
- Customer Interaction: Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with customers to ensure high satisfaction rates.
- Route Optimization: Utilize navigation tools to plan the most efficient routes, ensuring timely deliveries within the promised time windows.
- Vehicle Care: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper cargo loading.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, receipts, and reports as required by company policy.
- Problem Solving: Handle package exceptions, such as wrong addresses or damaged goods, according to standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: A current, valid state-issued driver’s license is required.
- Driving Record: A clean driving record with no major traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Vehicle Access: Access to a reliable vehicle (sedan, SUV, or van) that is insured and in good working condition.
- Smartphone: A smartphone with internet connectivity to manage orders and navigate using GPS.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
