Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on dedicated regional routes (primarily Indiana, Ohio, Michigan)
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Complete accurate pre-trip inspections, documentation, and electronic logging
- Maintain professional communication with dispatch and clients throughout transit
- Handle freight loading/unloading with proper securing techniques
- Manage route optimization to ensure timely deliveries
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate equipment servicing
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 1 year OTR experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass DOT physical examination
- Proficient in electronic logging devices and route navigation
- Dedicated regional route familiarity preferred
- Strong safety record and defensive driving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility for occasional weekend/evening shifts
