Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on dedicated routes between Chula Vista and major distribution centers
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and company safety protocols
- Build strong relationships with warehouse teams and delivery recipients
- Optimize routes for efficiency while maintaining delivery timelines
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delays or route changes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR experience with dedicated route background
- Strong knowledge of California traffic laws and mountain driving
- Proficient in electronic logging systems (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including early mornings and weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening (company policy)
