Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for dedicated routes across Florida and Southeastern US
- Maintain precise delivery schedules while adhering to DOT regulations
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Utilize GPS technology for route optimization and real-time tracking
- Submit accurate trip documentation and mileage reports
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Represent SwiftLogistics with professional conduct at all customer sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean MVR and satisfactory background check
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and overnight trips
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- Must reside within 50 miles of St. Petersburg, FL
