Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on dedicated OTR routes throughout California and neighboring states
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs (ELD) in compliance with DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Ensure secure handling of freight and proper loading/unloading procedures
- Communicate proactively with clients and dispatch regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while representing Golden State Logistics
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and overnight shifts as required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
