Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on dedicated regional routes within Virginia and surrounding states
- Perform daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading procedures and delivery verification
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling throughout transit
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and FMCSA regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Utilize GPS routing systems for optimal fuel efficiency and on-time performance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience with dedicated routes
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and climb trailer ladders
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) systems
- Strong knowledge of Virginia/DC/Maryland road networks
- Flexibility to work nights/weekends as required by delivery schedules
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT standards
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
