Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks on dedicated regional routes within Texas
- Execute pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Deliver time-sensitive freight to Austin-area distribution centers
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and Swift's safety protocols
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delivery status and road conditions
- Secure cargo and maintain clean, organized cab environment
- Collaborate with warehouse staff for efficient loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year OTR experience with dedicated route background
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) systems
- Strong knowledge of Texas highway systems and Austin geography
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
