Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in excellent mechanical condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and using appropriate tie-downs.
- Complete all necessary delivery documentation, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and mileage logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any route changes.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure the protection of the crew, cargo, and the general public.
- Maintain a professional appearance and clean driving environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and pass a background check.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional roadways in San Antonio and surrounding areas.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
