Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (box trucks or straight trucks) for local deliveries within PA/NJ/DE tri-state area
- Pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance documentation
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and hand trucks with proper safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance
- Adapt routes for traffic/weather conditions to ensure on-time deliveries
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and issues
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience with verifiable references
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Knowledge of Philadelphia metro area and surrounding regions
- Basic proficiency with GPS navigation and mobile communication devices
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
