Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently to deliver freight to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using hand tools and basic equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours (ELD) and delivery records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic math skills for reading bills of lading and calculating weights.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as needed.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
