Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A/B commercial vehicles for local deliveries within the Philadelphia metro area
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload cargo using manual pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided)
- Navigate urban routes efficiently while adhering to traffic regulations and delivery schedules
- Communicate with dispatch, clients, and warehouse staff regarding shipment status
- Ensure cargo security and document delivery confirmations via electronic logging
- Participate in quarterly safety training and equipment maintenance reviews
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Knowledge of Philadelphia geography and PA highway systems
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends (20-30 hours/week)
- Drug-free workplace compliance with pre-employment screening
