Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all shipments
- Handle loading/unloading procedures with proper equipment handling
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to safety protocols and report any maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Illinois traffic laws and regulations
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate heavy equipment
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
