Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and legally on assigned local routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Maintain accurate and timely delivery logs and paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle operation, safety protocols, and cargo handling.
- Basic computer literacy for logging purposes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
