Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and box trucks, in a professional and courteous manner.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all packages are secured and handled with care.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and paperwork, including DVIRs and delivery receipts.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle readiness.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends or evenings as needed.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and cargo handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and route planning.
