Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods across Florida routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments with precision and care using proper equipment
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and fuel efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Document all delivery transactions and maintain electronic records
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in Florida
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging systems
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
