Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver freight to designated locations in and around Seattle.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) and a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local Seattle, WA roads and traffic patterns.
- Basic computer skills for logging purposes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
