Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and company route plans.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads against shifting.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients by maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Update electronic logging devices (ELD) accurately and in compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Maintain a clean driving record and a clean driving environment within the vehicle.
- Assist with inventory management and paperwork accuracy during deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with necessary endorsements (e.g., Tanker, Hazmat if applicable).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record (no DUIs or serious violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor tasks.
- Flexibility to work weekends or varied shifts as required.
