Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across the Seattle metropolitan area
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Efficiently manage loading/unloading operations while collaborating with warehouse teams
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup interactions
- Utilize GPS technology to optimize routes and meet delivery deadlines
- Report any mechanical issues or road hazards promptly to dispatch
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong knowledge of Seattle-area roadways and traffic patterns
- DOT medical certification and ability to pass background checks
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging systems
- Must be available for weekend/evening shifts as needed
