Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans to transport goods safely and efficiently across the Seattle metro area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery receipts, and mileage records.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and traffic regulations.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic math and reading skills for handling paperwork.
- Willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays as business needs dictate.
- Valid Class B with Passenger endorsement is a plus.
