Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations in Washington State.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading interactions.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the proper endorsements.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of Washington State roadways and traffic patterns.
- Basic math skills for making change and reading maps.
- Physical ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
