Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for local deliveries within the Seattle metropolitan area
- Inspect and maintain assigned vehicles before/after shifts to ensure DOT compliance
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment while following safety protocols
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging system entries
- Adapt routes dynamically to avoid traffic congestion and ensure timely deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions at delivery sites
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules and resolve issues
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Seattle's street layout and traffic patterns
- Basic proficiency with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Strong attention to safety and punctuality standards
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
