Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B CDL) to transport goods within San Jose and surrounding areas
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Assist with loading/unloading freight using proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery records and route documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adapt to changing delivery schedules and prioritize time-sensitive shipments
- Report maintenance issues and vehicle defects promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of San Jose metro area and surrounding regions
- Basic proficiency in using GPS navigation and delivery tracking systems
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations
