Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations on time and in perfect condition.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify maintenance needs.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring items are secured and protected.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, delivery receipts, and mileage records in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers, handling delivery inquiries and maintaining a positive company image.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic computer skills for logging mileage and verifying delivery information.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
