Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and cargo are in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts as required.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel at delivery and pickup locations.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of roadways in the Sacramento, CA area.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
