Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for local deliveries within the NYC metropolitan area
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time-sensitive routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization and customer communication
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling of materials
- Comply with all FMCSA regulations and local traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to navigate complex urban environments and heavy traffic
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required for loading/unloading
- Knowledge of NYC boroughs and delivery zones preferred
