Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on designated routes within the New Orleans area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securing and documentation.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and hours of service.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record.
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle troubleshooting.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to load/unload freight and handle various weather conditions.
