Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on local routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DOT) and delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) on file.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Basic math skills for cargo documentation and toll payments.
- Physical ability to lift and move cargo packages up to 50 lbs.
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
