Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and legally compliant manner at all times.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently and securely, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery records (ELD/DOT compliant).
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements (Hazmat or Tanker preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Clean driving record (MVR) free of major violations or DUIs within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation systems and modern fleet management tools.
