Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) to deliver cargo to designated locations on time and in full.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload freight accurately, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and paperwork.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the cargo.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety.
