Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, flatbeds) for local deliveries within LA County
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork for each route
- Load/unload freight with proper lifting techniques and equipment
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adapt to changing schedules and prioritize time-sensitive shipments
- Represent MetroSwift with professionalism in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Knowledge of LA County roads and traffic patterns
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer skills for digital logs and communication
- Availability for early morning, evening, or weekend shifts
