Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A or B) on local delivery routes in the Portland metropolitan area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely using lift gates and cargo straps, adhering to weight limits.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, including proper handling of freight and professional communication.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) valid for at least 6 months.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills for navigating GPS and logging systems.
