Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely operate Class A or B commercial trucks to transport goods to designated locations within the region.
- Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload freight carefully, ensuring all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company policies regarding hours of service and logbooks (E-Logs).
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of delivery receipts, mileage, and fuel logs as required by company standards.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and clients, resolving delivery issues efficiently and maintaining a positive company image.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
- CDL License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) required.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Medical Certification: Current DOT Medical Card is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of driving experience preferred (entry-level with training considered).
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to read maps and GPS systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
