Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport goods to designated drop-off points.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a commercial vehicle across state lines.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be able to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) is a plus.
