Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently for local delivery routes within the Oakland area.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as required.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and mileage records.
- Interact professionally with customers and verify delivery details upon arrival.
- Ensure the vehicle interior and exterior are kept clean and organized.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Air Brakes endorsement.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and punctuality.
- Basic knowledge of map reading and GPS navigation.
