Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo safety during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and DOT compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with clean driving record.
- Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) physical requirements (vision, hearing, no medical disqualifications).
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and intrastate roadways, specifically in NY and CA regions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
