Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and box trucks, following all traffic laws and company protocols.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment to ensure product integrity.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects immediately.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and delivery receipts, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to strict safety and compliance regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized, including the cab and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on equipment).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Strong ability to read maps and navigate using GPS systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with cargo handling.
- Must be willing to travel to destinations in Illinois and Florida.
