Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify any mechanical issues.
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery logs, mileage, and cargo status.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Card and DOT physical certification.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of cargo securement and DOT regulations.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
