Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Transport cargo to designated destinations safely and within the agreed-upon timeframes.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab, ensuring cargo is secure and protected.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Complete all required documentation, including logbooks and delivery receipts, accurately and on time.
- Conduct daily vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no recent major violations.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and handling cargo weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and ability to perform minor maintenance tasks.
