Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for local and regional deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per DOT regulations
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols in urban environments
- Assist with freight handling when necessary (forklift certification a plus)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metropolitan area and surrounding regions
- DOT medical certification and ability to pass background check
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
