Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vans in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Navigate complex routes and traffic patterns to meet delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in logistics or transportation.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills to handle minor vehicle issues.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
