Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport cargo to designated locations in and around the Atlanta metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate Driver Logs (ELD) and delivery documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Willingness to work part-time hours with a flexible schedule.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented attitude.
- Reliable transportation to and from the terminal.
