Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently according to traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks (ELD) and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures to minimize risk and ensure a clean safety record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements (e.g., HazMat, Tanker) as specified in the job description.
- Achieved or obtainable DOT Medical Card (Class 2 Medical).
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift and carry cargo weighing up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
