Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for local deliveries throughout DC metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Ensure cargo security and compliance with DOT regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes and delays
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time-sensitive operations
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with clean MVR
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and background screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of DC metropolitan roadways and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
