Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods across Illinois routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and delivery
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Submit timely electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable truck driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Illinois traffic laws and highway systems
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Availability for flexible shifts including weekends
